Jenny Scrivener Speech and Language Therapy Assistant

Jenny is a warm and friendly Speech and Language Therapy assistant who is passionate about making a difference for everyone she works with.

Jenny has previously had a varied and successful career as a Vocal Coach, working in schools and with children of varying ages. Naturally warm and friendly, Jenny is able to build and maintain strong professional relationships with children, their families and those supporting adults around them. SLT for Kids are thrilled that Jenny has decided to explore a career in speech and language therapy and are really excited to have her skills and wonderful energy in the team.

Jenny has a wealth of knowledge and experience with voice and is able to use these transferable skills to bring an alternative and musical approach to her role as a Speech and Language Therapy Assistant.

Jenny is also a mother of 3 children, aged from 8 - 16. This gives her a personal insight into how unique children can be and the flexible, holistic approach needed when working with them. Jenny draws on her experiences from all areas of her life to allow for real empathy and connection with the children, young people and families she works with. Jenny values the importance of connection and the relationships between adults and children, and ensures that interventions are always centered around the child’s happiness and well-being. She tailors each session to fit the needs and particular interests of every child, resulting in engaging and fun intervention!

Jenny is currently working in mainstream primary and secondary schools alongside Speech and Language Therapists in order to provide high impact Universal, Targeted and Specialist input.
